WoW Item Upgrades
More commonly referred to as "upping"--are items and enchantments that can be put on weapons and armor pieces to boost their effectiveness. These upgrade components add a number of points to the level gauge for the item, with their costs scaling with their popularity.
A perfectly rolled version of this armor is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community due to its ability to limit the amount of damage a weapon can cause.
Type-restricted upgrades
The process of upgrading is an essential aspect of the crafting process. They can enhance the quality of an item as well as make it stronger or weaker and even provide an additional benefit. They can also alter the appearance of an item. Certain upgrades are universal, while others have rules specific to weapons and armor. Making the wrong upgrade can ruin an otherwise great weapon, and may even render it unusable.
A general rule is that you can only upgrade an piece of equipment to the standard of the highest-level gear within its category. The upgrade of an item will fill up its diamond-shaped indicator. Each step increases the item's Tier by one-third. The maximum Tier level is Tier 3. It can take several upgrades to get to this level, depending on the item. It is essential to note that any procedure that could mount a disk should not be running during an upgrade. Also, you must make sure that the disk you're upgrading is not being used as a system drive.
Enchantment is a feature which allows you to transform white or Common items into blue or rare ones. It is possible to do this at Eleanor's enchantment shop located in the Capital District. This method does not add gems or rune slots to the equipment but it does change the size of the equipment. It increases the size of the equipment by the size of a creature two categories smaller. For example that a Blaster Pistol is considered Small and an Stormtrooper Armor is Medium.
Universal upgrades
Universal upgrades are upgrades that can be made on any kind of equipment. This includes weapons and armor. The upgrade components are typically random drops, but they may also be obtained by completing Side Quests. Universal upgrades are either temporary or permanent and they may overlap with Power-Ups. They may be linear or branching.
Universal Upgrades start when "internal technology" can give sentient beings new capabilities that are not likely to develop naturally. Examples of internal technology are implants or prostheses. This kind of upgrade is different from medical internal technology that is designed to restore the natural capabilities. It is the beginning of an era that will change civilizations in a fundamental way. The universal upgrade is a complicated procedure that can take several years to complete. The process can be classified in two categories that are complete success and partial failure.
This is similar to the ways that resort upgrades are implemented at Disney or Universal. In the case of WDW these upgrades are usually due to operational reasons such as overbooking or room availability. In the case of Universal this could mean to move guests from one resort to another that is open. This is not meant to be a mean-spirited thing, but it is something that can be necessary in the current environment.
Universal upgrades can be utilized on any kind of gear. They can be used on multiple items at a time. This makes them more adaptable than other upgrade types. However, this flexibility can cause issues when upgrading items within a specific gear path, because it can increase the level of each item in all pieces in that path.

Jewels

Jewel tiers are determined by the number of modifiers they have which means that higher-tier jewels have more modifiers than lower-tier ones. The primary effect is determined by a jewel's tier. The secondary effect is random. item upgrading can use luck potions to increase their chances of obtaining better secondary effects.
Jewels can be incorporated into items with matching sockets, just like other upgrade components. A Garnet Jewel and a Garnet Stone both boost power, but a Garnet Jewel also boosts a player's strong attacks. Jewels can be found in all armor, weapon and accessory slots. They also work with some exotic trinkets, or lower rarity trinkets that require the use of a slot.
Gems are a DM-specific mechanism that allows items to feel special to their owners. Jewels come with a variety of upgrade paths that allow players to personalize and find the best combination for their needs. They can even upgrade their existing equipment using new jewels if the initial set of a particular model is no longer suitable.
Requirements
The WoW item upgrade system lets players increase the level of their equipment, weapons and trinkets to their current item level by using specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords Of Draenor resources.
